🔒 Privacy

• No accounts, names or emails. Each player is just an animal icon.
• Progress (scores, stickers and stars), the buddy each player picked, and which buddy's printables you last chose are saved only in this browser on this device. They are never sent anywhere. The Printables page reads the players saved here to show each child's own practice sheet; that also stays on the device. "Reset my scores" on the Score page clears the current player's progress; clearing the browser's data removes everything.
• No cookies, no adverts and no outside services. Everything, including the fonts and Kenzie's voice, loads from kenzieandzip.com. Kenzie's voice is pre-recorded; if a recording can't play, the device's own built-in voice may read the number instead. The app never uses the microphone or camera.
• Anonymous activity counts: when the app is opened, an activity is opened or finished, a table is chosen, a player is added, a buddy is picked, “Show me the adding” is tapped in Make Groups, a printable is opened, or a practice sheet is opened for printing, the app loads a tiny file from our own site. It also notes, in broad steps, how long the app was used in one visit (1, 5, 10 or 20 minutes or more, counting only while it's on screen). Our site adds each one to a daily total, so we can see totals like "Speed was played 40 times on Tuesday". Only the date, the activity's name and the total are kept: nothing about who is playing, their device or their answers, and no IP addresses or cookies.
• Our host, Netlify, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) to run and protect the site, as all websites do. We may look at these to check the site is working, but we never use them to identify anyone. The logs are kept for a limited time under Netlify's own privacy policy.

💡 Good to know

• Clearing your browser data, or using another device or browser, starts fresh.
• Sound works best on: Kenzie explains each activity, counts along, and says the right answer whenever a sum is missed.
• "Reset my scores" only clears the current player. "Delete everything on this device" (also on the Score page) removes every player.
• On iPhone/iPad, add Kenzie and Zip to your Home Screen so progress isn't cleared by Safari.
